Stacy is a recent breast cancer survivor who told the team about how in the depths of chemotherapy she never thought she’d be able to survive another day, let alone do something so momentous as climbing a mountain. The drugs that stopped her cancer were not available until just a few years ago, and she credits research with saving her life.
Stacy proudly says, “When you push yourself to new heights (literally) on a mountain climb, you learn not to let something as devastating as cancer define your limits.”
